Wedding Dance Diva provides Wedding Dances for the Modern Bride and Groom. Nobody wants to look silly out there on the dance floor! Preparation is key and all you need is 6 hours! I want to give the new generation of Brides & Grooms an opportunity to learn to dance in a fun, supportive environment, in a style that empowers them. Whatever song you choose, we will create something special for your ability.
Please note we am a fun, positive, encouraging, energetic, teachers, we aim to get the best out of my couples, and this reflects true in our lessons. If you want a dead serious nose turned up type of personality to teach you, please try somewhere else!
Catering for absolute beginners to semi-pro dancers, from North Brisbane to CBD. Don’t drive half way across town for your dance lessons, 2 locations to choose from, Kallangur or Albion.
Most couples book 6-8 lessons and start 2-3 months prior to their wedding date
You will get:
Meet your diva, go through your music choices, try a few steps so I can gauge your learning style and ability, and work out your lesson plan.
I will put together your music, how ever many songs you choose to mash up.
Videos of your progress to take home and practise between your lessons … just in case you find time 😉
Your instructor Kylie has been a professional dancer for 15 years, teaching and choreographing to people of all ages and abilities. Styles you can learn include Foxtrot, Cha cha, Salsa, Bachata, Rumba, Jive, 2 Step, Jazz, Funk, Hip-Hop, Lyrical. You can choose romantic songs and do lovely spins, dips, lifts, and feel like Cinderella. You can choose to mix it up and get down and funky, Gangnam style, Grease lightning, Jump on it, MC Hammer, M.J, J.T, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, any top 40 or old school jam you want to use! Wherever your imagination takes you, we can create it together. I love cheesy, so if you want to really entertain your crowd and make them laugh, we can totally spoof it up. If you want your whole wedding party involved we can create something flash mob style!
Don’t forget the Bachelorette Party….. Get all your sexy girls together and learn Beyonces’ Single Ladies choreography! What better way to start off a night of fun than getting all bootylicious with your closest friends?!

While I was keen to have a memorable first dance at our reception, I had basically zero dancing experience and barely two months to the Wedding Day – hence we called on Kylie to help! She took Anita and I from nothing to perfectly prepared over six lessons, tailoring choreography we were comfortable with to the songs we chose. She was extremely attentive to our needs throughout, and incredibly committed with her time and effort toward us. While the first three lessons of learning the dance steps were especially challenging for myself, trusting Kylie and throwing ourselves into the practice was some of the best fun Anita and I had! Come the Wedding Day, we were very well prepared, and very thankful for Kylie’s constant encouragement in the last lesson to trust our practise, and to focus on having fun. And our dance really was more fun, and memorable, than we ever thought possible!
