Where do I start, from the beginning – 32 years ago I started work in my aunties hair dressing salon helping her on school holidays.
I began to realise I had a natural talent for hairstyling.
Whilst still at school I signed up to start my apprenticeship with Edward Beale School of Hairdressing.
This was all put on hold when my family moved from Victoria to Queensland It felt like my whole life was turned upside down, I needed to find a new hairdressing school and employer so I stopped and after trying a few different career paths, I kept coming back to beauty.
I meet my now husband in the ’90s and with his encouragement, a few night classes at beauty school, plus many refresher courses, Beauty by Corinne was born Brisbane’s first-ever Mobile Hair & Makeup Wedding Service.
Since then I have won 14 Brides choice awards in Hairstyling, Bridal Makeup & Customer Service, opened two hair & beauty salons, this year will mark the year I of 4000 weddings a huge milestone, I can’t tell you if another artist can say that. (I never had children so I worked solidly for all these years)
I am and have been the lead stylist for past 12 years on an annual stage production which is also aired on Channel 10, worked on hundreds of fashion shows, presented beauty tips on stage at Queens St Mall for years during fashion week, worked with leading artists at Internation Fashion Week, been illustrated in numerous magazines and TV commercials.
I must admit my favourite part of my job is weddings. I love weddings & romance, I love Hair & Makeup. I love that I get to do something that I am so passionate about.
These days I am lucky enough to live within the gorgeous Moreton Bay Hinterlands in a quaint country township of Dayboro with my husband and 2 Fur Babies. Operating a home beauty salon, plus offer a mobile Hair & Makeup service to one of many stunning wedding venues within my region.
I am passionate about creating custom hair & makeup looks for my clients. I do tend to shy away from makeup that is “on trend” and have a strong focus on enhancing a person’s natural beauty. I want my work to be easy to wear yet look elegant in photos for years to come.
