We have a lot of experience sizing wedding marquees, and we prefer to make sure there’s enough space for all of your guests throughout the day/evening in case the weather turns bad and everyone has to stay inside.
We can figure out how much room is needed by talking about guest counts for the day and evening, as well as what the marquee will be used for (ceremony only; ceremony followed by drinks, dinner, and dancing; dance only).
The dancing area should typically be maintained clear during your event so that it can be used for the ceremony, drinks reception, or buffet arrangement. If the weather is very poor, using the entire area for dining and then clearing furniture for dinner afterwards can leave space quite tight, which may affect the guests’ pleasure of the wedding.
